About
I ride the New York City subway two hours per most days. Sometimes I look forward to getting in the train, getting a seat, and sketching away. Some moods call for more complete drawings, others more sloppy. As a perfectionist, it is good to free myself of that task to be awesomely amazing, and a shaky train and limited time is a good excuse when it gets too sloppy or I can't hit the exact spot with my pencil.I like to introduce nature elements into man-made reality of New York City, adding thoughtfulness to the isolated, bored, and tired faces, and "surrealizing" the surroundings. Sometimes I just want to indulge in my own fantasy world, other days my imaginary world shuts its door on me and I am forced to be here. In cases as these, when nothing inspires me, I draw my inner feelings, not very enjoyable to be in touch with most of them, but I must
must must always have an instrument for visual creativity in my left hand (pencil or paintbrush). In these sketchbooks, I prefer to use colored pencil, and unlike my detailed and colorful miniatures, I usually hold just 4 or 5 of them. I hate graphite as it smudges and gets a glare. Pen and ink is good on days of confidence.
Enjoy the journey as I will keep this fun activity updated for you.

Watching one of your wonderful pieces on ebay and hoping the bid stays low. She looks just like my daughter!
Loved your blog/web page. What a breath of fresh air. Sincere work and genuine tone as to how you describe your process. (As an Artist myself, I can't help but roll my eyes when some artists describe their zen-like journeys in a corny New Age vernacular.) You're different! Real talent and authentic work that speaks for itself. Someone to watch. Keep on working. -Anne G
I honestly do now know what to write here, but I felt that I had to say something. Your works are incredible! I love the colours, the symbolism, the moods that stand as clear as ice. I only wish that I was able to purchage some of your works, but alas I have very little money and I fear that the expenses of sending a painting all the way to Denmark would leave me destituted for months! xD
Still I will keep an eye on this page. You've got talent. If I ever become just half as good as you are, I would be more than thrilled and satisfied.
